Their mother, Benedetti Mulenga, shoulders the weight of a tumultuous past. Abandoned by her husband and left to care for six children, life dealt her a harsh hand. With limited means and the responsibility of her children thrust upon her, Benedetti faced daunting challenges. The family often battled hunger, nights passing with empty stomachs as she struggled to put food on the table.

Amid adversity, Benedetti found work as a maid, earning a meagre income that ensured, at the very least, one meal a day for her children. However, even with her tireless efforts, sending her children to school remained an unattainable dream.

Yet, amidst these hardships, a ray of hope emerged when Winford and Mary found their way to A Future 4 Kids. Education became their beacon, offering a chance for a better future. Their journey exemplifies resilience in the face of adversity, and an unwavering determination to break free from the clutches of poverty through education.
