An Exceptional Mother

In December 2022, 10 women were given corn seed and fertiliser so they can grow corn as part of the Empowerment Program.

Marietta produced 12 bags of 50kgs of maize from the 5kg seed and fertiliser provided to her. Two of her children Cathrine (kindergarten) and Paul (Grade 7) are at AF4K School. Marietta brought one 50kg bag of corn back to the school as a sign of appreciation and to contribute towards the Feeding Program.

She has enough corn to feed her family for the whole year. The Empowerment Program is really helping many families and reducing poverty in the community.
